Business coaching translation website
By OUI Dizajn
The Brief
During a family visit in Montreal, Canada, I met Stephane and we had a good talk about our respective work. I went back to Europe and he contacted me shortly after about his need to translate his website in English.
For those who have never been to Montreal, it is surprising to see everything and everywhere translated in 2 languages, I mean also advertisement in the streets and packages from products which are in Canadian French and in English, the labels are designed with double space for texts and slogans. Even famous names of fast-food chains are localized in French!
My Approach
I read Stephane’s website entirely in French and as usual did my reseach in his field of expertise: Coaching and Consulting for Corporates. I then performed my translation in English and delivered the texts for the deadline agreed. He then processed my texts onto his website.
The Result
My client has a bilingual website perfectly synchronised in English and French.

Project 17
For nearly 4 years, I was the inhouse graphic designer for a book publishing not-for-profit company and newspaper editor. 17 books were published (themes: history, biography, poetry, cooking, sport, etc …), mostly hardcovers. I also designed and did the layout of articles and advertising spaces in the newspaper (Posavski Obzornik, www.posavje.info), photography (book covers, portraits), designed the corporate identity of the company itself (business cards, marketing dossier, logos, banners for events, flags, street billboards, etc…). I built also with Joomla a complete website www.neviodunum.si and was in charge of the original creation, design and development of the web portal of the Institute. Some of the books are still for sale by the publisher on its current website:Books from Posavje Region
Wild Animal Shelter

The Brief
My client had an old HTML static website active on the main URL, and had a WordPress website designed and built by another outsourcer sitting on a sub-domain and waiting to be transferred to the main server and updated. The client had no knowledge whatsoever with web development and WordPress in general. However they wanted for long their modern website to be launched and show up on the main URL. They’d be looking for someone to help them with launching their website and adding some functionalities before the annual open day. As a new volunteer working with the animals by the shelter by chance I heard and ask about the situation. I found out quickly their new website was done in WordPress, so I proposed my time and services. My Approach
Since we were talking about a takeover of an existing website, the first part of the task included some research. I had to get in touch with the company who had designed and developed their new website. The relationship had started a few years back, yet there was nothing new to be seen, just an amateur html website that was still live on their web address. I then researched what hosting package the client had bought, and ask the host for credentials. From that point, I went through the technical part of the site construction, the backend, to see how the site was built and which functionalities or plugins were installed. I added a security certificate. I then exported the website to the main URL and set up a Maintenance page to have the site show offline. I then started to make the changes and improvement requested but also some technical optimization. I integrated a Donation functionality with online payment. Once the main changes done and the legal requirements for an online presence fulfilled, I sat with the client to go through each page, until we agreed to set the website Live. The Results
Before the Open Day, the website was Live and donations from visitors started to get recorded. We agree then that I would go on with the Maintenance and Development of the website. Check out the result: Animal Shelter De ToevluchtInjection Moulding

The Brief
The client wanted to refresh the design of its old html website and have it integrated into WordPress by its developer, the colors were defined in advance and the media and texts were delivered to me upon signing the project.
My Approach
I started deep in the project with research into the competitors of the injection moulding sector to see what they were doing, what was working well and what was the first impression when visiting their website. I studied all the materials that I had been sent. I built out the website framework following the guidelines with the focus on attractive layouts, dynamic colours and infos on the page easy to find.
I used the main frame and adapted it to each page required with all content I had to produce, multiplied by 3 for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile. I created a mini 2D text animation as per request.
The Results
Once integrated to WordPress, the website went Live dressed with its new energetic and colourful design.

Industrial Maintenance
By OUI Dizajn
The Brief
My client wanted to refresh the design of its website and have it integrated into WordPress by its developer; the site map, media and texts were delivered to me upon at the very start of the project. This was ideal and allowed a quick and effective work flow. Specific icons needed to be created to make the different fields of expertise visible and clear at first sight. Vivid colors had to be used.
My Approach
I started deep in the project with research into the competitors of this industrial sector to see what they were doing, what was working well and what was the first impression when visiting their website. I tested some color profiles that represented the industry and I started to apply them along with representative icons I drew and modified.
I took a content-first approach and designed clear website pages following the site map, which would ease finding the field of work aimed by customers when browsing the website.
I customized each page per device to be responsive. The whole design was structured around the key goal of being informative about the services and projects that could be offered to clients. Once approved the final design was delivered as Photoshop files.
The Results
The website went Live after easy integration by the developper.

The Brief
My client had no online presence at all and wanted to be found by new and existing clients on search engines, in Slovenia but also in Croatia and by expats living in both countries. She also needed a logo and business cards as well as translations of her texts in Croatian and English. Due to the nature of her activity, the design needed to be sober, modern but serious, the content clear and straight-forward.
My Approach
I started deep in the project with research into the competitors of the law sector to see what they were doing, what was working well and what was the first impression when visiting their website. I tested some color profiles that represented her and I started designing her logo. Once the logo approved, the business cards printed with a newly web domain name created and reserved, I continued with the website.
With text material, design and visual elements in hand, I built out the website framework with the focus on her fields of expertise and her professionalism.
I took a content-first approach and created clear website pages which would ease finding the field of work aimed by her potential customers when browsing her website.
I met up with my client for a quick photoshoot to use her profile picture she was happy with, to establish trust with her potential customers. I also went in the field in the vicinity of her office street to take some landscape shots outside to be used as one of the main images on the website. For other shots appearing in her website, I got in contact with the authors and requested permission to use their images since they were part of a city council photolibrary, permission I got.
The website design was structured around the key goal of being present online and representative of the personality of a good, efficient and trusty lawyer. I used the best tools so that her website could be shown on both desktop and mobile devices.
The overall website design was modern, sober, crisp and clean with a style that compliments my client’s brand image. I also proposed her to maintain this website rolling 24/7 doing all the necessary updates, backup and modifications needed.
The Results
My client was happy with her new set of business cards, a new logo designed to her image and a crisp-looking responsive website always working, while taking a minimum of her time to deliver to me what I requested and with no knowledge from her of the web jargon.
